Text Box: Welcome to the Ridgeview Band - Page #
Text Box: The PANTHER MARCHING BAND represents Ridgeview High School at marching competitions and festivals as well as provides visual and musical entertainment at football games. Marching Band is challenging because it requires you to play your instrument and move, all at the same time. This takes some practice! But if you have the desire to succeed, we will help you become a good marching musician.

Marching Band is not a requirement. In fact Marching Band veterans consider it an honor to be a part of the marching band at Ridgeview. However, as a freshman, new to Ridgeview, you will miss out on much of the fun, friendships, and excitement associated with “band” if you are not a part of marching band.

MAY 31- AUDITIONS: Marching Band members are selected by an informal audition and interview. All members must agree to attend rehearsals, performances, and competitions as well as memorize their music and drill quickly (Details on next page).

The MARCHING BAND is composed of four facets which when placed together produce a unified musical and visual performance. They are: the Color Guard, the Pit percussion, the Wind instruments, and the Battery percussion. Our quest for excellence relies on each individual marcher’s commitment to personally excel. All Freshmen Marching Band members must commit to freshman band clinic, band camp, after-school rehearsals and weekend performances, as well as Friday football games.
