Megan Wike

Mrs. Wike is originally from Katy, Texas and graduated from Katy High School in 2004. She studied at the University of Houston and graduated summa cum laude with a double major in music education and clarinet performance in 2009 (Go Coogs!). At the University of Houston Mrs. Wike had the honor of performing in the Wind Ensemble under the direction of Tom Bennett and David Bertman. She also received weekly instruction from Eddie Green in woodwind sectionals. Mrs. Wike continued her  studies at the University of Miami on full scholarship as a  Henry Mancini Fellow where she performed in the Wind Ensemble under the direction of Gary Green. She was runner-up in the 2010 Frost School of Music Concerto Competition , and she earned a master's degree in clarinet performance with a 4.0 GPA . In 2011 Mrs. Wike moved to the Austin area and became a band director in RRISD. She taught at C.D. Fulkes Middle School  and most recently at Cedar Ridge High School, a 2013 BOA Grand National Finalist Band. Mrs. Wike was also a featured soloist at the 2013 Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic with the CRHS Low Brass Choir. Mrs. Wike's clarinet teachers include Tye Ann Payne, Randy Griffin, and Dr. Margaret Donaghue. She inherited their love of teaching and has taught private lessons and master classes across the state since 2005 with many student successes. 

Mrs. Wike is very excited to begin her fifth year with the Panther Family at Ridgeview Middle School! She teaches the Honor Band at Ridgeview as well as Beginner Clarinet, Beginner Flute, and Beginner Saxophone. Mrs. Wike loves playing clarinet and still actively performs as a sub in the Round Rock Symphony and with other local ensembles. She has been happily married to her husband Chris for five years, and they have two energetic dogs named Bessie and Scout.  


Ashley Rhea

Mrs. Ashley Rhea grew up in the tiny little town of Tuscola, TX and graduated from Jim Ned High School in 2003.  She attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX, and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in 2007.  While in college, Mrs. Rhea was a member of the Buffalo Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Bands, Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble.  Her principal instrument is the French Horn, and while in college she taught private lessons in Canyon ISD and Amarillo ISD.  She also sang in the Vocal and Hand-Bell Choirs in Canyon.  She is currently a member of the Cedar Park Winds, a community band made up of local band directors.  Mrs. Rhea and her husband Dusty, a middle school band director in Burnet CISD, got married in 2008.  They currently live in Georgetown with their son Cannon, and two puppies Buster and Lola.  At Ridgeview, Mrs. Rhea teaches the Symphonic Band and assists with the Honor Band and the Symphonic Select. She teaches beginner Trumpet, French Horn, and the Trombone/Euphonium class.



Andy Peña

Mr. Peña was raised in Laredo, Texas and graduated from J.W. Nixon High School in 2004. He attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon and graduated with a Bachelor of Music. At West Texas A&M, Mr. Peña was a member of the Symphonic Band, Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, and Jazz Band where he had the pleasure of studying with Don Lefevre, Russ Teweleit, Tina Carpenter, and Mark Bartley.  During his time in Canyon, Mr. Peña also taught private lessons to bassoonists in Canyon ISD and Amarillo ISD. He is currently a member of the Cedar Park Winds.

Mr. Peña is very excited to being his 3rd year with the Ridgeview Middle School Band program! He teaches the Symphonic Band, Beginner Double Reeds, Beginner Percussion, and Beginner Tuba classes; he also assists with the Honor Band and Symphonic Select. Mr. Peña likes to spend time with his wife Denise and their miniature schnauzer Molly.
